Puratchi Thalapathy Vishal was full of praise for his Pandiyanadu and Naan Sigappu Manithan co-star Lakshmi Menon. In a recent media interaction the handsome hunk said no other actress would have agreed to say down in water for 8 hours for just a lip lock scene.

Vishal said Lakshmi Menon never once complained about getting drenched in rain for four consecutive days for the film shoot, Vishal concluded saying no matter what the discomfort was, the actress was a thorough professional and co-operated with the team for film's success. It's worth mentioning that Naan Sigappu Manithan was also produced under Vishal's home banner Vishal Film Factory.

The gossip mongers in K'Town have been conjuring up rumors after rumors regarding Lakshmi Menon and Vishal, The pair who shared a great chemistry in Pandiyanadu have come together in Naan Sigappu Manithan and the steamy lip lock has definitely added more fuel to the rumors.

While talking about this, Lakshmi Menon said she welcomes gossips but doesn't care about them. Lakshmi Menon on her relationship with Vishal had this to say  “I am not in love with Vishal. But I don’t know if he loves me or not”.

Actress Lakshmi Menon who is being considered as a lucky heroine in Tamil industry has said in an interview to a leading Tamil Newspaper that she hates the ‘lucky girl’ tag and says she never believes in a concept called luck.
She has stated that if her films have been successful it is because of various factors like good script. talented directors, heroes with fan following and powerful roles offered to her.

“Neither vulgarity nor romance in NSM lip-lock”-Vishal

 

A few days back, there were reports suggesting that the Censor board officials were not ready to give a clean chit to Thiru directed Naan Sigappu Manidhan since it included a lip-lock scene between the lead pair Vishal and Lakshmi Menon.
The makers apparently refused to remove the lip-lock scene since it is considered crucial for the film and the board has given a ‘U/A’ certificate. Now the producers of the film Vishal Film Factory and UTV Motion pictures who are releasing the film have sent it for the revising committee to reconsider the rating.

Meanwhile a press meet was organized in Chennai in which Dhananjayan, the South Head of UTV along with Vishal and Lakshmi Menon took part. The press persons started asking about the much hyped lip-loc scene to which Vishal replied that the film includes some underwater sequences as well as a lip-lock between himself and Lakshmi Menon.
Vishal was quick to add that the lip-lock will not be like a ‘Bond’ style ‘French kiss.’ There won’t be any vulgarity or romance in the lip-lock.
Lakshmi Menon who came late to the press meet owing to shooting schedules apologized for the delay. On expected lines, she had to face a question about the lip-lock.
The ‘Pandiyanadu’ actress replied that she accepted for the scene only because the script demanded it and she will not hesitate to do it in future if she is convinced of the reason.
Naan Sigappu Manidhan is gearing up for a grand release on April 11 as the solo Tamil New Year treat in Kollywood.

Siddarth openly discussed about Lakshmi Menon’s weakness

Siddarth shocked all the reporters, guests and the team of Jigarthanda, during a press meet organised by the team by disclosing something confidential about Lakshmi Menon.
Siddarth, while speaking in the press meet, said “I want to disclose the weakness of Lakshmi Menon. That is, she is doing her +1 for quite long time, more than one and a half year, which makes me suggest that she is too much weak in her studies. Though she is weak in her studies, she is confident while acting and the way she presents her character for the movie is really appreciable.”
Siddarth further stated, “Lakshmi Menon stands at +1 to declare her age at 17 itself, though she is highly matured in acting.”

Lakshmi Menon has acted in four hit Tamil films in Kumki. Sundarapandian, Kuttipuli and Pandiyanadu and has a promising line up of upcoming projects like Jigarthanda opposite Sidharth and Naan Sigappu Manidhan opposite Vishal and the films are directed by acclaimed directors Karthik Subbaraj and Thiru respectively.
The school going girl from Kerala who is currently taking up her Eleventh grade examinations is considered a lucky charm and a scar on her left cheek gives a unique feature to he face.
When the reporter of a leading National daily quizzed about it, the young actress said,it appeared after a schoolmate pushed her down. She also expressed her happiness for that scare being considered a sign of luck in Tamil industry.
Speaking about the lip lock sequence in NSM, Lakshmi said she understood the importance of the sequence and that’s why she accepted it and did not have any problem while shooting it. She adds, that she is someone who is addicted to acting who would never mind to act in such scenes if it would do justice to her role.

Lakshmi Menon who missed the audio release of one of her upcoming films Jigarthanda since she has to take up the Eleventh standard Kerala state board exam met the press yesterday.
Questions were flocking about her lip lock scene in the film Naan Sigappu Manidhan and rumours about her relationship with her co-star Vishal.
The Pandiyanadu actress admitted that Thiru, the director of NSM explained the necessity of the lip lock scene and hence she accepted for it. She also said that there is nothing to hide in it since it is a part of her profession.
Prompted by her statement, “there are some scenes in Naan Sigappu Mantiahn’ a reporter asked how many lip lock scenes are there in the film. For this the Kumki girl jovially replied that she does not want to reveal it since it is a secret.
