Nayanthara has proved her mettle in romance and emotions in many films. She has explored comedy which is very rarely associated with a heroine in Tamil cinema in films like Sathyam and Boss Engira Baskaran.
The actress has also donned action oriented heroine roles in films like Billa and Arrambam. Her convincing performance in action sequences has made her fans aptly refer to her as the south Indian Angelina Jolie
As per reliable soruces Nayanthara is going to take the action avatar in one of her upcoming films which is being directed by Jayam Raja. In this film Nayan has paired up with Jayam Ravi for the first time in her career and the film reportedly includes a stunt sequence between its lead actors.
It is worth remembering that the Raja Rani actress shared a stunt scene with acto Jeeva in the film ‘Ee’ directed by S.P.Jananathan.
