Finally, Ajith has decided to take care of his injured leg by getting it operated in September, more than six months from now. To his credit, Ajith didn’t mind the various problems he had been facing in his leg and went ahead and completed the entire shooting schedule of his latest successful venture Veeram late last year.
Ajith suffered the leg injury in the second half of last year during the shoot of an high-octane action sequence for Vishnvardhan’s Arrambam which released in theatres a couple of days before Deepavali and turned out to be a super-duper hit. Ironically, the mishap occurred after Ajith stood his ground and refused Vishnuvardhan’s request to use the services of a ‘duplicate’ in that sequence.
As per the sequence, Ajith was to stand on the front side of a moving car which was being driven by co-star Arya. As it turned out, Ajith suffered injuries on the legs but continued to shoot. When he consulted doctors after the shooting schedule, he was advised to undergo surgery at once. However, Ajith decided to postpone the surgery and completed the remaining shooting schedule of Arrambam and the entire shoot of Veeram.
It was said that the surgery would be performed in December last year but soon after completing the shooting of Veeram, Ajith left for Down Under for a month-long vacation and to spend quality time with his wife and daughter. Back in India now, Ajith is to shoot for his first-ever film with Gautham Menon soon. Anushka is paired opposite him for the first time in this film.
After completing Menon’s film opposite Anushka, Ajith is finally going under the knife in September. Ajith’s fans and well-wishers hope that Ajith doesn’t postpone the surgery this time and goes ahead with it so as to bring his leg back in shape!
