Kamal Hassan and Simran, who was considered as one of the hot jodis of Kollywood, seem to be ready to work again. They are likely to come together in the remake of Malayalam film Drishyam.
Rumours are rife that the makers of the film wanted to cast Simran and expressed the same to Kamal Hassan. The Universal Star gave green signal for their idea. But it is not sure whether the actress has accepted the offer to play the female lead, which was portrayed by Meena in the original.
Kamal Hassan and Simran had earlier worked in the films like Pammal K Sambandham and Panchathanthiram. More than their films, they had hit gossip columns over their alleged affair. Many tabloids had regularly written about their relationship.
Nonetheless, Kamal Hassan and Simran did not worry about such reports. Those rumours came to an end with the actress marrying Deepak Bagga.
Drishyam starred Mohanlal and Meena in the lead roles. The story of the film is about a happy family’s confrontation with a sudden twist of fate and how they react when exposed to the struggling, form the crux of the story.
Jeethu Joseph, who had directed Drishyam in Malayalam, will be helming the project in Tamil too.
