Santhanam makes promise to mother he would avoid double-meaning dialogues

Santhanam2

Known for his at times vulgar and often embarrassing double-meaning dialogues, comedian Santhanam is said to have made up his mind not to utter any double-meaning dialogues in future now that he has started essaying lead roles in films. Santhanam is easily the highest profit-making comedian in Tamil films.
Kollywood’s unofficial boycott of Vadivelu and Vivek’s continued lean patch in the past few years helped Santhanam immensely in cementing his place as the top comedian in Kollywood. However, his comedy is not sans vulgar comments; in fact, some of his dialogues in the past have invoked the wrath of women in particular.
Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, which released early last year, saw Santhanam’s debut as a producer. He played one of the lead roles along with newcomer Sethu and ‘power star’ Srinivasan.
He now plays the hero in an upcoming film titled as Vallavanukku Pullu Ayudham, which is the Tamil remake of the Telugu hit Maryada Ramanna by popular film-maker S.S. Rajamouli.
Said to be very close to his mother, Santhanam reportedly promised to his mother that he won’t be uttering double-meaning dialogues in future. Now that he plays the hero in Vallavanukku Pullu Ayudham, we hope he keeps his word!
